Like prospectors for gold, people comb the beaches looking for shells or little sea creatures, many of them oblivious to the abstract beauty of the sand right in front them serving as a background to their searches. I waited for the sun to be very low to accentuate the ripples of sand left by the waning tide in this portfolio.
